The first thing you need to know about the SoftPerfect Research-developed application SoftPerfect Networx is that you can enjoy the functionality it provides for as long as you want and you don’t have to part with your hard earned money. You can keep your money in your pocket and spend it on something else – like some candy or ghoulish decorations, since Halloween is only a few days away. Since SoftPerfect Networx is freeware, its functionality is available to you, free of charge.

Speaking of functionality, what can SoftPerfect Networx do? This Software Research-developed application is a Windows utility meant to measure bandwidth usage and the speed of various network connections, like dialup, Ethernet, DSL, and so on. This quite easy to use application measures your network throughout, shows graphic and numeric representations of incoming and outgoing traffic, shows statistics about a connection’s duration, presents you with internet usage reports, lets you set up alerts, and more.

To enjoy all this functionality, you must first go through two simple steps that take very little time to complete. The steps I am talking about are of course, downloading and installing SoftPerfect Networx on your Windows-powered computer.

Downloading the application will only take a moment since the download weighs in at 1.7MB. Even on a less than spectacular internet connection, it will not take long to get 1.7Mb off the web and onto your computer. Installing the application will take very little time as well. Just launch the networx_setup.exe file you downloaded, follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard, and you will be done before you know it.

It must be mentioned here that SoftPerfect Networx provides support for the following versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system (at the time of writing this and according to the developer): Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Widows 7 (32-bit and 64-editions).
